What is Peridot?
Peridot Protocol is a next-generation, cross-chain lending and borrowing platform designed to unify liquidity across multiple blockchains.
Built on Interoperability
Peridot is powered by Wormhole, a leading cross-chain messaging protocol, and is architected around a Hub & Spoke model:
Hub Chain (e.g., Sei): Serves as the central layer for accounting, interest accrual, and liquidation logic.
Spoke Chains (e.g., Ethereum, Solana, Sui): Allow users to interact with the protocol from their preferred blockchain.
Compound V2 at the Core
We build on top of Compound V2's proven lending infrastructure, extending its core logic with cross-chain capabilities to reduce development risk and improve capital efficiency.
Wormhole-Powered Cross-Chain Experience
Peridot uses Wormhole Token Transfers with Payloads to:
Send tokens from the user's chain (Spoke)
Send a message to the Hub contract
Mint or burn tokens on the Hub for lending or borrowing
This makes true cross-chain DeFi interaction possible — without bridges or manual user intervention.
Peridot is designed for speed, simplicity, and scale, enabling users to access the best opportunities across chains — effortlessly.
